Daphne Myhre Steel Cut Oatmeal

1 cup steel cut oats
4 cups boiling water
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup half & half
1/4 cup of skim milk

INSTRUCTIONS:
In a large saucepot boil your water add the oats and reduce heat to a simmer. Keep at a low simmer for 35 minutes, and stir every 5-10 min.
Spoon into a serving bowl and top 1/4 cup half & half, if the half and half is on the heavy side add some skim milk to balance the thickness.
