Great New York Noodle Town is the Chinese equivalent to Wo Hop on Mott when its 3 am in the morning. One time we saw a kid totally past out and two dudes drag him in the arm pits and throw him on the round table, that create a big bang sound and that drunken kid start snoring with his face attached to the table surface. Anyhow, we used to eat at this place 4 times a week when we first move to Chinatown. We stop eating there because we keep ordering the same thing over and over again and to a point our palates were overkill. Their duck and wonton are so good. It’s like my taste buds have suicidal tendencies.
We always order ¼ Roast Duck ($4.00) and Wonton Noodle soup ($3.75). The roast duck to my opinion is the most flavorful duck in Chinatown, period. The skin is crunchy, the meat is very juicy and the flava is just right! One important tips for ordering ¼ duck, you can actually choose from the Upper Part or Lower Part of the duck. The meat in upper part is leaner and the lower part has more meat and more fatty. We like the lower part better because the grease can wash my alcohol away.

Not like the traditional Cantonese Won Ton that is made with pork and shrimp, theirs are all shrimp. Each wonton has approximately 2 whole shrimps in it and the taste is sweet and fantastic, with a hint of sesame oil in it. The yellow all egg noodles is as fresh as it can get, bouncy with great chewy texture. Or if you want both duck and wonton and you are alone (too bad pal!), there’s always Roast Duck Wonton Noodle soup ($5.25) to fulfill your gastronomical and mental void.
Other recommendations include Shrimp Roll (2 pcs for $4.00) and Beef Chow Fun ($6.25).
