My Jamaican-Chinese friend Toni highly recommends this place and yes I understand this is a franchise but they don’t have any logo plaster around their bags or coke containers and their decorations is as plain Jane as it can get. Therefore, I guess I will have to let it slip through my censorship just one time.

So under Toni’s recommendation we got a Spicy Beef Patties ($1.80) and a #4 Curry Goat Combo (Sm $8.95). The amount of food is definitely enough to feed two hungry people.

The turmeric-yellow beef patty is a flaky baked pastry filled with spicy ground beef. The crust is great and I wish it is spicier but for two bucks it is well worth.

The Curry Goat combo consist of Goat Meat slow cooked in Curry sauce, sweet plantains, rice with red beans and cooked vegetables. The curry is very simple and quite salty so you need the rice to go with it. The sweetness of plantains keeps refreshing my palates with the over-saltiness of the curry.

We then saw a dude having a fingerlicious Jerk Chicken combo and we cannot resist to get one although we are quite full already. We got a Jerk Chicken side-order ($5.50) that comes with three juicy piece of bird. The skin is beautifully charred and the light sweet and spicy sauce greatly compliments the succulent thighs. It is so good that the super-stuffed Young physically stop me from devouring this cause she want to take it home for her own dinner. I guess in front of good food everybody turns into an animal.
