Hungry hipsters and street vendors go hand and hand, especially in a hip area like Soho. Calexico is similar to those bars with the lines formed out the doors, but lucky for us the lines move fast. A small little cart located on the corner of Wooster St & Prince St, Calexico borrow its names from California and Mexico, started by joint venture of three brothers from Southern California. Serving up tacos, burritos, with unbridled portions they live up to the West Coast tradition.
Do try the chipotle pulled pork w/hot salsa verde toped with melted cheese and sour cream. The overstuffed burritos will fetch you $7 but well worth the price, the chipotle has a wonderful smoky and sweet tang to it but it is well balanced with the black beans and yellow rice.
