Down Under Bakery Pies is a cute little shop that caters to the locals that has a bit of a sweet and salty, serving up pies and coffee. Stumbled into it looking for some coffee while working around the area, I saw the tiny shop with perfectly shaped pies calling out to me. Curious I walked in and ordered the first thing on the menu, steak minced: “ high-grade ground beef in an inimitably seasoned onion gravy… (the classic)” so I read on the blackboard. The shell was well balanced with butter and flour but slightly on the dry side, the meat and gravy however was as the board described. The only downside was I wished for a bit more gravy, and for $4.75 I could used a bigger pie. The size is good for a tween but I am not longer in my tween and almost nearing the end of my twenties so, if you have an appetite bigger then the Olsen twins I would suggest 2 pies or a meal deal.
