A foodie whom I think I have become slowly yet surely over the past 5 years, is great yet at times unwelcome. And here is the reason why, not being able to enjoy a nice hamburger with nicely smoked bacon has got to be a little bit twisted?!*# I mean the price is right, all burgers at New York Burger CO. range from $5.75-$7.95, and french fries are $2.50-$3.00. However it’s not the price that bothers me about these decent burgers. In my mind a good hamburger should have 3 criteria, one it must be juicy, two it must be flavorful typically never frozen, and lastly it must have the right bread and meat proportion. NY Burger Co. had the 2 requirements cover a good meat to bread balance and a freshly tasting patty but where it was lacking was the that they took all the fat out of the burger leaving it a healthy and not a juicy, fatty burger that would make it a good eats! It was so sorry that even the apple-smoked bacon couldn’t cheer me up.
This is what I mean, this is what a snobby foodie does, take a good thing and make it second-rate. Well I am telling you good people New York Burger Co. has good burgers maybe even great burgers for those who are looking for a healthier burger. If my snotty foodie side had a say… it say it was sub par and if you want me to be really DIVA like - the fries aint all that. They were soggy, which was a little misleading b/c they were very brown almost to the point of looking burnt.
