When my friend from San Francisco was visiting me, I asked what she would like to eat for brunch. She was easy going as most SFers are and told me to decide, so I asked if she would like to do some Dim Sum. She, much to my surprise has never been informing me that Dim Sum was actually quite expensive in the Bay Area. Sure, some of the more notable Dim Sum eateries are in the $15-$30 range but there are also great ones for those on a budget.
Delight 28 is a new restaurant that opened up not too long ago on 28 Pell Street in Chinatown New York. They serve decent Dim Sum nothing too fancy but it’s good honest food with a great price tag. All dishes ranging from $.70-$3.75 w/ the exception of Clam w. black bean sauce $7.50. So the next time you’re out in Chinatown be a little adventurous and make day of it, if you don’t like one dish then you can sample another without having to pay big time. Many dishes aren’t what one would find in a regular dinner menu, most are small bite size plates with 3-4 morsels, which makes it fun to go with couple of friends.
Open 7 days a week, Dim Sum 8am-3pm
