In the cool night of the tail end of winter Saravanaas was a nice reminder of what’s to come in spring. Ideas of fresh flowers, fragrant herbs, and a bright feel echoed while dinning at the South Indian eatery. On the stretch of Curry Hill on Lexington Avenue otherwise know as Murray Hill stands this very vegetarian friendly and authentic Southern Indian restaurant.
Famous for there dosas and idlis it’s no wonder people of all colors come for a little get away to the East. Saravanaas makes their dosas with rice combined with lentils, which make them wonderfully light and crisp. Some of the fare we sample varied from Medhu vada, mini ghee idlis to masala dosa, all spiced to perfection with the right amount of heat at the end of each morsel of bite. Especially nice accompanied with Taj Mahal beer made in India.
