A charming bistro tucked away on a residential street, Symposium is a cute little hideaway located at 544 W .113th Street between Amsterdam Ave & Broadway. The crowds of eaters all seem very mellow, relaxed and appear to fit with the decor part romantic part endearing. The food was great though I am not an expert on Greek food; it all seemed balanced while light.
There's a good selection of salads however this time I went for the chicken lunch special for $7.99 (pita bread comes/w), I found the chicken to be perfectly chard and well seasoned, came with rice and steam veggies. The sides where cooked to perfection, the rice light and bouncy and the veggies where crisp to the bite and not over cooked and soggy. I noticed that they have a huge selection of veggies they even offer a traditional Greek salad called the Peasant Salad, and the Symposium Salad, a platter of appetizers olives, feta cheese, stuffed grape leaves, olives, cucumbers and other goodies adorned with yogurt, and garlic dips. If you’re a fan of salads this seem like a great place for it.
