Bon Chon Chicken is a crazy almost hidden trend spotting, located on 314 5th b/t 31st & 32nd Street, one can find hot waitresses hot food and most definitely the hottest women of NYC. Once upon arrival the security dude asks second floor? Don’t know why maybe makes him feel part of the whole scheme of Bon Chon. Walk up the narrow staircase and I located the lamest signage of my life, but once I was in I felt out of my league. Everyone was so cool, hip, and beautiful you start to understand the vibe at Bon Chon. It's loud inside, which is normal when your walls and floor are concrete, but aside from all the the hip atmosphere - the fried chicken here is amazing.
We split a combination platter (medium $13.99 - Large $17.99) of drumsticks and wings with hot sauce, along with beer. OB will set you back $6 – yep not cheapass but standard for Korea Town and besides we only ordered one dish. Don’t worry your wont look like a cheapskate if you ordered one entrée between two people, Bon Chon Chicken is more of a drinking establishment than a eatery.
Who knew KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) was so trendy, I have been eating this stuff since I was born, but I guess it’s nice to see that finally Korean food is getting some recognition that it deservers.
