Situated in the Curry Hill, Roomali is a quick lunch spots that specializes in Kati roll. I was first introduced to this wrap at Nizam’s in Delhi (see post http://www.cheapassfood.com/eats/show/34) Here’s the process of how to make it: Toast either paratha or rumali roti bread on the griddle (in India its called Tava), pour whipped egg on top of the bread and cook, then put your choice of main ingredients along with lettuce and spiced onion and roll it up. Voila!
I got the Seekh Kabob Roll ($6.00 or 2 for $11.00) that contains Lamb, Egg, Lemon, Lettuce & Spiced Onions. The roll itself is quite dense with the ingredients and not as big as a burrito. I can eat two of them easy. The taste is pretty good I just hope there are more sauces on it. I heard the Bihari Kabob Roll (with Spicy Chicken $5.00) is very good too. Anybody try that?
For vegetarian try the Paneer Tikka Roll ($4.75) with paneer cheese and Alo Roll ($4.75) with grilled potato balls with mild sauce.

TIPS: The place is actually on 27th st, not on Lexington.
