I have this obsession with food!
But let me back up and start from the beginning, I immigrated to the USA when I was eight years old, and the first Asian American TV star I fell in love with is Yan Can Cook. Yes it's true he had me at " If Yan Can Cook, so can you!" I can picture some of yall chucking in the background, but just imagine the big, shinny, knife and the cute fake accent. Stir-fry, deep fry, hot & sour soup, wonton soup, dumpling and abundance of trickery just some of the specialties that this man has to offer the world.
Years later, I find my self being broke after 4 years of art school and 4 years of trying to live the life style of an artist. This is the part where all you parents should have your kids read, it's true artist are poor and have no means of making in the cover of Forbes magazine. So I did the next best thing – start a startup!
Cheapassfood.com has been a life long dream of mine; this site combines my true love for food along with my cheapass personality. Hence CheapAssFood. Love it or Hate it, I would like to hear from all of you cheapass, foodies, artist, artiest, and Haters, I m down with it.

Being an artist and freelance designer I always have to tighten my belt to the last hole just to save coins, not to mention to pay off those evil ginormous student loan and all those teeth grinding credit cards bill. Oh Dude, one time I was trying to buy 30 cheeseburgers from McDonalds just to put it in freezer so I can bring one each to CCSF and microwave for every lunch (99 cents each @ Haight n‘ Stanyan in San Francisco) and they won’t even sell that to me cuz the store limit is 10. That’s really suck ass man and makes me realize Moms n Pops shop and cooking my own dish to eat for an entire week is so much fucking better and cheaper. Anyhow, experiences teach me a habit of getting the best value with my food and I am so addicted! And hey, in addition we can raise awareness to all the non-profits so why not?
